For the Birds: old slang phrase

1. Worthless, no good

2. Not to be taken seriously

3. Only believed by the gullible

A term my grandmother overused every chance she got. Sure, she used the phrase too much that it lost the original meaning. I'm not sure if even she knew what it meant, yet I'm for the birds, you're for the birds, that lawnmower interrupting The Golden Girls is for the birds!

I've wanted to adopt this phrase for some sort of project for a while, I was just never sure what was the "right" one. This feels like it. A place to put all my art that I wasn't really sure what to do with. I have so many pieces of art and writings that I always feel "aren't good enough," but what if I put them all together in a digital booklet and sold that? Now, there's an idea.

What issues will be like:

This zine will contain a variety of art and writing mediums and each issue will be a unique theme containing rotating page sections. It features mostly my art and writing with some collaborators here and there. Some themes will be silly, some will be serious, and most will be a mix of both.

What to expect:

This is a place to unwind, look at some art, read a little, and let your inner child relax! 

Unless otherwise specified, this zine is meant to be taken with a grain of salt (and if you spill the salt you MUST toss it over your left shoulder imediately).
